Nelson Mandela is a man who really inspires me to be the best person I can be and do what the best I can for others. When I heard about Nelson Mandela’s tenacity and perseverance to free a country, I knew he would be a perfect project for my NHD project. After his passing all over the news, I knew I should invest in learning about him for he is claimed to be one of the best leaders in the world. Also, I want my school to remember him as a great hero in our time as I do. Since Nelson Mandela is such a good role module, and a great person to take after, I decided to make it my NHD project.
The way I conducted my research was, I looked through all the websites, magazines, and books I could find of him. Next, I only stuck with the ones of most relevance and if it had enough information I could use for my project. After that I had some really great resources that were reliable, trusty sources. Off those resources, I chose the information that would be most useful to me and simply put those into my own words. I chose nothing not important, but chose everything that would be essential to my project, and a great connection to the NHD topic. When all that was over and finished, I had some really great information for my project.
I chose my presentation to be a website. I wanted something I had never done before, and something that would be challenging, but interesting. I thought the website would be a very easy way to present my project and it would keep my attention during the project. Making a website is something really interesting to me and something the audience would enjoy as well. Making a website in my perspective would be really fun, and also I would get to learn a new skill. Once I thought more about this idea, I thought of all the really cool ways I could make this website. There are no limits of what a website could do and it goes to show what I learned and to show off my talents which is something I will very much enjoy to do.
My project of Nelson Mandela is a great example of the NHD theme, law, and freedom. Nelson Mandela did something above what anyone can ask for, he freed a whole country of hark working citizens from an unfair law. Mandela abolished the apartheid which made South Africans work above and beyond what they are expected to do. Nelson Mandela is a very brave and courageous for abolishing this law and freeing the citizens of South Africa from the apartheid. Nelson did whatever he could to free the citizens of South Africa’s unjustly laws and gained the respect of their people. For Nelson to free these people is something bigger than just that. Nelson Mandela’s perfect example of abolishing the apartheid and freeing slaves perfectly connects to NHDs topic theme.
